Built in 1917 as a summer home and seasonal hunting lodge for Charles Boettcher, one of Colorado’s most prominent entrepreneurs, the Boettcher Mansion is a well preserved example of the historic Arts & Crafts style popular in the early 20th century. Nestled into 110 forested acres on top of Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado, the Mansion offers a magnificent setting at 7500 feet, with views of the Continental Divide and the Denver panorama. Donated to Jefferson County by family members in the mid-1970s, this unique stone-and-timber landmark is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has become a popular venue for weddings and receptions.

The Mansion, Carriage House and Gazebo may be rented separately or collectively for social events. The Fireside Room (the home’s original Great Room), with its cathedral beamed ceiling, inglenook fireplace and adjoining Dining Room, Piano Room and Patio, is used for parties of up to 150. The adjacent Carriage House, with its French doors leading to a flagstone patio, can hold groups up to 30-40. And the outlying Gazebo, originally used by the family to observe the wild turkeys, deer and elk that once roamed the property, is a rustic spot for intimate gatherings of 20 or less.
