From its storied debut as an 1880’s stagecoach stop to its opening in 1947 as Colorado’s first ski lodge, Ski Tip Lodge has long made an art of embracing spirited travelers and keen adventurers with its bed and breakfast accommodations and remarkable cuisine.
Here old world charm is combined with contemporary services and award winning dining in a storybook alpine setting. Quaint, cozy, innovative and reminiscent of a rustic Swiss hostel, its name comes from using the broken ski tips found on the mountain for door handles through out the Lodge. Wrapped in thick log walls and graced with authentic antiques and luxurious bedding, each of the ten guest rooms is blissfully quiet as there are no phones and televisions
